Picture of the day (Horsetail Fall)

Horsetail Falls

Horsetail Fall is a seasonal and natural waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. It is located in Yosemite National Park, California. When the weather conditions are just right in February, the sunset makes the waterfall glow orange and red. Thus, this waterfall is also known as Firefall. The two streams of this waterfall are almost the same length (between 470 and 480 meters).

Picture of the day (Devil’s Kettle)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Devil’s Kettle is a mysterious natural structure. It is located on the North Shore of Lake Superior, in Minnesota. The Brule River flows through Minnesota’s Judge C. R. Magney State Park, and then it gets split in two waterfalls. The east half falls down normally 50 feet and continues toward the lake. However, the west half disappears in a very large pothole and is never seen again. Until today, no one knows where that water disappears.
